C4Yourself ® is an online application system that allows you to apply for benefits. This is a secured site and all your information will be private and safe.

  • You can apply for Cash Aid, CalFresh and Medi-Cal
  • After you apply online you can:
    • Check the status of your application
    • See your worker name and phone number
    • See your current benefit amount(s)
    • Get and print your Quarterly or Semi-annual report forms
    • Renew or Recertify your application
    • Get messages from your worker
    • Get a fax or mail-in coversheet to send information to your worker
  • Obtain basic information about Cash Aid, CalFresh and Medi-Cal

DVAMilitary and Veterans Affairs

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has launched several new and enhanced services to help family caregivers of seriously ill and injured Veterans. One of these new services is a toll-free line, the National Caregiver Support Line - 1-855-260-3274. This toll-free number connects to a referral center that assists caregivers, Veterans and others seeking caregiver information.

Did you serve in the military? If you are an eligible Veteran, you can see the VA Mobile Medical Team!

Information and enrollment for VA health benefits, homeless and substance abuse programs are also provided.

No appointment necessary!

A Fresh Start for Food Stamps: Introducing CalFresh

The California Food Stamp Program has undergone a name change. The new name offers a great opportunity to highlight the critical nutrition benefits offered through CalFresh! The new name and logo represent the diverse food available in California and reflects that the program supports nutrition, healthy living, and California agriculture.

County residents interested in receiving nutrition assistance benefits, through what was formerly named the Food Stamp Program, can now ask for CalFresh!

Help-4-Vets is the result of months and months of hard work between the various stakeholders in Monterey County. Their decision to collaborate with each other has served to bring a greater awareness to the needs, hardships, and value of local veterans, their family and caregivers.

Our goal is to provide local information on services, resources and programs that are available to improve and enhance your quality of life.

The full collaborative meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 9:00 am in Salinas at the One Stop Career Center of Monterey County.

This program is designed to prevent homelessness and to rapidly re-house individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The goal of this program is self-sufficiency; therefore, each household’s eligibility is determined based on the actual household need.
